ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Tereza Brichtová (1978) graduated from the Studio of Conceptual and Intermedia Tendencies under Prof. Adéla Matasová at UMPRUM in Prague. She completed an internship at Escuela Arte in Granada and participated in several group exhibitions during her studies. After a long hiatus, she returned with the exhibition Tereza and Giardino (GASK 2024–2025). She exhibited selected watercolors from this series at Křehký Mikulov 2025. Among her previous solo exhibitions, the most significant include Z druhé strany (From the Other Side) at Galerie Entrance (Karlín Studios, 2011) and its reprise, Z druhé strany II (From the Other Side II), at Mikulov Castle. In the meantime, she devoted herself to her family, created in seclusion, and, together with her brother Filip Brichta, continued Dobromila Brichta's research. She is the co-author of the visual design of the Dietrichstein Gallery and the author of the visual concept of the exhibition Desire and Dignity, both for the Regional Museum in Mikulov (2019). Her works are represented in private collections and in the collection of contemporary art of the town of Mikulov, where the author comes from. In 2005, she co-founded the family brand Piršč Porcelain, where she worked as an art manager until 2018. She stands behind the collaboration between the Křehký brand and Mikulov Castle, which materialized in the Křehký Mikulov festival. She is the author of the scenographic design of a number of projects on the borderline between art and design. She lives and works in Prague.
